SEMA BÝCÝK
 

She was born in Osmaniye/Adana in 1959. 
She began her education at the Department of Painting in Ankara Gazi University (1977). 
Then she attended the Fine Arts Faculty in Istanbul Mimar Sinan University (1979) and graduated with a Master of Arts degree (1985).

She has got a “Gallipoli 1915” collection commemorating the Gallipoli Wars. It consists of 20 distinctive paintings, onwhich she has enthusiastically worked for more than three years.  
In 2007, she has been honoured with the Australian Embassy Award in Canakkale Painting Competition.
She paints in surrealistic style and continues working at her Beyoðlu and Kanlýca ateliers, both in Istanbul.
