1945 - He was born in Gumushane.
1968 - He graduated from the Painting Department at the State Faculty of Fine Arts .
1978 - He was granted a scholarship by the Austrian Goverment to study lithography
with Prof. Werner OTTE at the Salzburg Summer Academy .
1981 - After finishing his thesis in " Principles of Contrast in Basic Creation Phase",
he gave trial lectures.
1983 – He completed his doctorate in creative arts.
1986 – He became Lectureship.
1993 – He became Full Proffesor.

He currently teaches at the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the
Marmara University, Yeditepe University and Dogus University.
