Osman AKCIT (1955, Denizli/ Turkey)

He began studying arts at the Painting Department in the National Academy of Istanbul, in 1978. Later, he changed over to the Academy of Arts in Duesseldorf/ Germany. There, he attended the graphics and printmaking courses of Prof. Sackenheim. In the meantime, he continued improving his painting with the help of Prof. Klappeck’s commentary. He received his “Master of Arts” degree in 1985.

He is a free artist since 1991, working in his own atelier in the Duesseldorf Altstadt, presenting his works in the exhibitions in the region and organizing various activities concerning art and thus making his atelier a meeting point for lovers of art.

Recently, he has participated in the International Biennale of Contemporary Art 2007, in Florence.
